About Us
The Florida Professional Golf Tour (aka FPGTour) was started by Rick Hendershot with some help from Mac Snow, both of whom are Class A members of the PGA of America, as a developmental tour for professional golfers in Central Florida. Established in 2006 under it's new name, the FPGTour (Formerly known as the PGA North Florida Winter Tour) has quickly risen to become a premier destination for mini-tour players from around the world.

From the start, the FPGTour has maintained a tour quality atmosphere in order to help prepare players for life as  touring professional's. We strive to exceed the expectations of every professional golfer in order to leave them with an enduring experience and lessons that will allow them to succeed at a higher level.

In addition, we will continue to operate the long standing weekend favorites that have been a mainstay in professional golf for the past 53 years. They will include this years 53rd Annual Riviera Open, the 2014 Kissimmee Open, The Indian River Open and the ever popular Wildwood Open and Pro-Am.
In addition to these four special weekend events the FPGTour has now added the Crane Lakes Invitational and Pro-Am along with the
Daytona Beach Open and Pro-Am, also contested on the weekend, and with two of the best Pro-Ams in the State. Now, all six of these Championships carry an Entry Fee of only $270 and are open to anyone in the World.

Company history:

The Florida Professional Golf Tour, now in it's ninth year, has roots that date back some 53 years. Rick Hendershot is a 25 year member of the PGA of America and the former director of the now defunct North Florida Winter Tour, the longest running mini tour in the country for 45 straight years. Though most of the sites from those early years are no longer used we chose to keep four of the original events as part of the FPGTour. These four old classics are open to anyone who wishes to play, and are all conducted on the weekends.

The 2013-2014 season marks the return of our traditional Winter Tournament series, always a favorite among journeymen golf professional's as well as visiting club professional's from the north. This years schedule will consist of a minimum of (16) tournaments played on some of Central Florida's best golf courses.

While our country continues to recover from some economic hard times, the FPGTour will continue to offer an affordable mini tour that still allows a player to enjoy all the competition one could ask for, along with an opportunity to actually make some money while your competing. Our winter tournament program is designed to do just that, with moderate entry fees and great payouts comensurate with these lower entries.Take a moment to view last seasons money list....It speaks for itself.

Whether tournament golf is a full time passion, or your just visiting Florida to escape the cold northern temperatures and want to keep your playing skills sharp in the off season, consider making Central Florida and the FPGTour your winter destination.

Testimonials:

I have played a lot of tours as a professional golfer, and I really think the Florida Professional Golf Tour is one of the best. They run a first class tournament program and all they need is to have the players on these other tours begin to realize what their missing. The competition on this tour is as good or better than some of the larger mini-tours around the country. The Florida Professional Golf Tour cares about you and not your money, they want to see you get the best experience as a professional, and make it to the next level. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to improve on your tour....Don Donatello (Professional Golfer / PGA Tour Caddie)

In preparation for my return to competitive golf I joined the FPGTour. These guy's know what their doing. It was just the type of tournament golf I needed to get my game in shape for the rigors of life on the Champions Tour..Thanks for the playing opportunity....M.A....Champions Tour

There is no better tournament program available anywhere. The fields are very strong, and the events are professionally run. It is my top choice when competing in Florida....Ryan Hritz

I've played many events around the country these past two years in preparation for Q-School this fall. I heard about this tour from a friend and have to say after playing in just three of their events I was sold. The tournaments are professionally run, the pay-outs are very fair, and my winnings checks were delivered promtly. I was fortunate enough to play in their Ocala Open last March....By far the best event I have ever played in. I would recommend the FPGTour to anyone looking for a first rate mini-tour....K.G.
