The Florida Professional Golf Tour, now in it's ninth year, has roots that date back some 54 years. Rick Hendershot is a Life Member of the PGA of America and the former director of the now defunct PGA North Florida Winter Tour, the longest running mini tour in the country for 46 straight years. Though most of the sites from those early years are no longer used we chose to keep four of the original events as part of the FPGTour. These four old classics are open to anyone who wishes to play, and are all conducted on the weekends.
The 2014-2015 season marks the return of our traditional Winter Tournament series, always a favorite among journeymen golf professional's as well as visiting club professional's and top amateurs from around the world. This years schedule will consist of a minimum of (20) tournaments played on some of Central Florida's best golf courses from November 2014 through April of 2015
As always, the FPGTour will continue to offer an affordable mini tour that still allows a player to enjoy all the competition one could ask for, along with an opportunity to actually make some money while your competing. Our winter tournament program is designed to do just that, with moderate entry fees and great payouts comensurate with these lower entries. The FPGTour has paid out over $1,000,000.00 in just the last 48 events. Take a moment to view last season's official Money list, or visit the "Results Page" to view complete results from our previous seasons.
Whether tournament golf is a full time passion, or your just visiting Florida to escape the cold northern temperatures and want to keep your playing skills sharp in the off season, consider making Central Florida and the FPGTour your winter destination.
